Anna Schwarz

Principal Clinical Psychologist, Anna Schwarz is a registered Psychologist under the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with specialist endorsements in Clinical Psychology (AHPRA Registration No: PSY0001813886).  Anna is an AHPRA approved clinical supervisor. She is also a registered Psychologist in Switzerland and is a member of the Federation of Swiss Psychologists (FSP). 

Anna’s clinical practice was established in 2015 in Sydney, Australia prior to relocating with her family to Switzerland in 2018. She has recently returned to Sydney to continue her work with the local community. Anna has always been concerned with supporting individuals in achieving optimal health and well-being; delivering exceptional healthcare in medical and clinical settings. Initially, Anna completed degrees in Nursing and Midwifery where she became interested in how women experienced the transition into motherhood and impacts of postnatal depression. This interest led her to undertaking a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours), majoring in Psychology, at Charles Sturt University and then the successful completion of a Masters of Psychology (Clinical) at The Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP).

As a practicing Clinical Psychologist, Anna was primarily based in School settings working with children living with disabilities (aged 5-12). She has significant experience in providing Positive Behaviour Support Plans for challenging behaviour; conducting Cognitive and Adaptive Functioning Assessments; and working with children with Autism. She has been trained to use the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised Edition (ADI-R) diagnostic assessment tool. The therapeutic approaches she used in Australia included Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.

In addition, Anna has worked extensively with women, in hospitals and at home, during the Antenatal and Postnatal stages of pregnancy. She has trained in a number of Attachment-Based Approaches and is a certified trainer with Circle of Security International Parenting Training.

Anna is passionate about providing families in need of support, the tools that they require to function as a healthy, stable unit. She is particularly interested in supporting vulnerable groups including children with special needs, and enjoys working with children and families from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.

Terry Williamson

Terry has completed a Diploma in Counselling and is a member of the Australian Counselling Association. She is a trained Lifeline crisis support worker and a youth mentor with the Raise Foundation. Terry has also trained with Siblings Australia’s Sibworks program, which supports siblings of children with disability to help them build and maintain their emotional wellbeing and resilience and connect them with others who share the same experience.

Terry supports families whose children struggle with learning, social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. She is an accredited facilitator of the 123 Magic and Emotion Coaching approach to behaviour management. Terry works with families to provide practical strategies to create calmer households, and systems that support parents in building confidence to their own parenting skills and give the children the structure they need to succeed.  She has a particular strength in building relationships with parents of children with additional needs, and a solid understanding of the impact disability has on a family.  

Terry supports individuals and families using CBT and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy. She takes a holistic, strengths-based and trauma informed approach to therapy.  Terry has a professional interest in supporting teenage girls who are challenged by anxiety, low self-esteem, low mood, friendship challenges. Where appropriate Terry works with young clients in their environment.  She also offers Walk & Talk sessions to adult clients who prefer the outdoors.

Terry runs a support group for mothers/female carers of children with disabilities, providing a safe space for them to be heard by others who understand their journey, and to build their own network.
